- by Dr. Jones so I thought I would write a quick update. The appearance hasn't really changed in the last week or so. I always call this the waiting period. I've had some shock loss and no new growth yet. A time to be patient. I should start to see new growth and the shocked hair returning over the next month. I still have some numbness on the top of my head and slight tenderness of the scar. I expect this to pass over the next month or two. It doesn't rally bother me. At this point, I think the best thing is a little sun to the top of my head. I'll update when I get back, Dr. Robert Jones 0 comments - Dr. Jones, 3 1/2 weeks
