Paul, Days 1-24

Days 1 - 24: 2982 grafts- strip method. The procedure itself was not bad at all. There were1500 grafts placed in the front and then the rest continued on to the crown.I just felt like my head was fat and I had a bit of a stiff neck from sitting there. No real pain. That night was a little hard to sleep. Still didn't feel any pain. Followed the post-op instructions. I had some swelling on my forehead and slight bruising as well. That lasted for about the first week. I returned to work five days later but only performed light duty. I scabbed up pretty good also. The stitches were out on the 12th day; It felt great to have them out. I experienced some shock loss right around the 15th day. I started losing my scabs around the 22nd day only because I wasn't using full pressure when I was showering. I was a little paranoid I guess of ripping anything out. I do recommend having short hair when having the procedure done. As you can see from my pictures I do not. This is a bit of a hassle when showering because of scabs getting caught up in it. It also looks worse because of the shock loss, but that should hopefully be backin a month or so from whatI understand. Now like Dr. Jones has said, I too am in the waiting period. My head is still a little numb but that gets better everyday and the scar itches. Other than that everything is fine up to this point. The only thing I haven't returned to is playing hockey which I am doing this week. I'm a little worried about wearing a helmet.
