Five months have passed since the surgery. There is still numbness at the center front of my scalp. Incidentally, that is the area where the poorest growth is so far. Elsewhere, I can see tiny hairs sticking up if I look closely in the light. I can feel stubble on the scalp. I am still using Toppik, but as little as possible. People dont seem to be staring at the top of my head any longer, but the decrease in my own self-awareness may be contributing to that. Also, I had my hair blown dry straight to see how much my wide center part is closing in. It has closed in, but not enough to make my scalp disappear or to make me feel comfortable with straight hair. Thank Goodness my curly hair hides some sins."
