5 weeks post-op

Hello, I'm just back from Costa Rica, we had a great time, it is a wonderful country with great people! I took some surfing lessons, I included one picture of me standing on the board! I have included one photo of my head, I have had some shockloss but will see regrowth over the next month or so. I will keep updating with pictures as it grows in, Dr.J

Dr. Jones, 3 1/2 weeks
I'm 3 and a half weeks post-op and just about to head off on holidays so I thought I would write a quick update. The appearance hasn't really changed in the last week or so. I always call this the waiting period. I've had some shock loss and no new growth yet. A time to be patient. I should start to see new growth and the shocked hair returning over the next month. I still have some numbness on the top of my head and slight tenderness of the scar. I expect this to pass over the next month or two. It doesn't rally bother me. At this point, I think the best thing is a little sun to the top of my head. I'll update when I get back, Dr. Robert Jones

16 days post op
Hello, I am now 16 days after my surgery. My activities are back to normal and have been for quite some time. I have posted a photo of the recipient site. I have had a bit of shock loss, but I know this will regrow over the next month or so. I have no more crusts or even scalp irregularity, as you can see from the close-up photo. I still have some numbness around the scar and on the top of my head, but it is getting better every day. One poster asked what I used on a daily basis for my hair. I have started my new scalp treatment formula, shampoo and conditioner. It should be available through my site over the next few weeks. If you are interested in getting an announcement when it is available, sign up for my newsletter on the front page of my site. I've started the hair loss book with my son, it's fun to put down into word the experiences I have had in the last 10 years in the hair loss industry, Please keep the questions coming, I'm going on holidays the middle of next week, I'll try and do some pictures and post before I go. Dr. Robert Jones

day 10
I am now 9 days after my proceedure and feeling fine. I ran 16k yesterday, and played tennis last evening. My scalp and donor scar feel a bit numb, but the sensation is returning more and more daily. This can stay numb for up to a couple of months. My son and I are starting a book "A Complete Consumers Guide to Hair Loss for Men and Women" which will include updated information on hair transplants, medical treatment of hair loss, as well as cloning and hair multiplication. It should be available through my site by June or July. One poster has asked if I could shave the donor to show my scar. I will do this in the summer so everyone can get a good look 5 or 6 months post-op, Dr.j
