1 year

It's now been over a year since my transplant. I've seen good results. I was using the hair solution for a bit but stopped after awhile and noticed it started thinning again. I've just begun using it again.

16 weeks post-op
It's now been 4 months since my surgery. I'm starting to see the results. It's still a little thin. From what I've read this is normal and will get thicker in the next month or so. They say only about 30% - 40% of the hair will have grown in 4 months and the rest is as follows. 5 months 50% - %60 , 6 months %60 - %70, 7 months %70 - %80 , 8 months %80 - %90 and then 9 months you should see the full results. So I've read. Don't quote me on that. I'm far from a doctor. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again Dr Jones.

10 weeks post-op

July 31/06 It's now been 10 weeks since my surgery and I'm not seeing much of a change from my previous report. I do feel the stubble starting to come through and I will report back at the end of August.

36 days post-op

It's now been 36 days since my surgery. I still feel a little numbness on the side but only to the touch. Other than that I feel great. All the scabs are gone as you can tell by the picture. I have lost a lot of the transplanted hair and take each day as it comes. I can't wait for the new hair to come in. I'm guessing I'll see it in another month or so. I'm currently using 2% minoxidle and nizoral shampoo every so often.I'm also taking 2 protein shakes a day, working out with heavy weight and jogging 2km a day and feel great. I will reply with my progress in another month.

Day 1,2,3,4 and 5
The passing days have been pretty normal. I went and watch Da Vinci Code the day after the surgery. Good movie, I don't want to give anything away so I'll stop with that. I took some Tylenol 3 the day after as the donor area throbbed a little but nothing to complain about. The scabs started to fall off on the 3rd day and continue to do so. I can't wait to see the results. I feel so much better not that it's done. I no longer think about it. The days when I thought should I do, do I really need it? Yes I needed it; it's made me a much happier person and anyone who is thinking about this, I suggest you do it. It's well worth it.

Day of surgery
The surgery went very well. I felt very comfortable during the whole procedure. Dr Jones gave me the injection to freeze my head which felt like a bad bee sting. Once that was done I didn't even notice he was removing the donor area, which was over in a matter of minutes.
Before I knew it I was relaxing in the chair and the techs were implanting the donors hairs. I felt no pain what so ever. It was nothing what I was expecting. I am very great full for what they have done. I no longer have to worry about my hair. Anyone who is experienced hair loss probably knows what I'm talking about. The thought of being under lights, in the sun, hair blowing in the wind revealing the bald area and just the lack of confidence. I feel great and can't wait for the results. I'd like to thank Dr Jones and his staff for making this experience very relaxing.
