Dr. Robert Jones Price Comparison with other doctors for FUE
The selection process
For the exercise of comparing
prices, after thoroughly researching all
options available, two other physicians
were selected. After consultations with
each, the first only offered the follicular
unit strip surgery (FUSS) procedure. The
other did both, but for FUE, offered several
sessions of 400-500 grafts per day and
the cost per graft is much higher than
Dr. Jones charges. Due to Doctor Jones’
extensive experience with the FUE procedure,
he is able to extract 1800 FUE grafts
in 2.5hr. An entire procedure of 1800
FUE grafts takes about 7.5 hours.
Consultations and customer support
Another thing to note is that
at other consultations, you may not actually
meet a doctor. Everything may be handled
by sales people who, in many cases, have
had a hair transplant procedure. However
with Dr Jones, you will deal with Dr. Jones
himself. Nothing can replace the feeling
of assurance, knowing that you are dealing
directly with the person who will be performing
the procedure. Even after the procedure
is completed, you can contact Dr. Jones
directly, to ask questions.
The procedure
During the procedure, the only
pain experienced is the initial pin prick
of the needle for the local anesthetic.
After that, the procedure is quite comfortable.
After the procedure, you will be given
a prescription for Tylenol 3 and anti-inflammatory
pills. However, after the first day, you
may not need the pain-killers
Final conclusion
FUE hair transplants are the
future of hair transplant surgery. However,
with other companies which are less experienced
with the FUE procedure, you may be lead
to believe that it is an unattainable
or extravagant procedure, with regards
to both cost and duration. Dr. Jones’s
ability to provide the state-of-the-art
procedure, at a reasonable cost, speaks
directly to his research and experience
with the procedure, and his ability to
refine his technique and skills.
