New Process to reduce donor scar
NEWSLETTER - January 30, 2008
After
reading an article on Botulism Toxin to
improve facial wound healing, Dr Jones
decided to see if this applied to scar
healing after hair restoration surgery.
A patient that had previously experienced
stretching of their scar due to a tight
closure was chosen for a scar reduction
procedure.
During the procedure, Botox was injected
into the left side of the incision and
the same volume of normal saline was injected
into the right side of the incision. The
results show a definite reduction in scar
width in the treated side of the scar
compared to the control. See
details and photos of results.
New Product - Identical to 'Toppik'
Dr Jones is also announcing
a new product that is identical to 'Toppik'.
The product is applied by shaking a container
of colour-matched hair fibers over your
thinning area. The hair fibers are charged
with static electricity to stay in place
even in strong winds and hard rain. This
new product will be available March 1st
and Dr Jones is offering it for free for
the first month, while initial supplies
last. Customers will only pay the shipping
and handling costs.
